Landair Survey was asked to conduct a full internal and external laser scan survey of a historic homestead originally built in the 1850’s. The homestead has been slowly deteriorating since its last restoration in the 1970’s. Our client asked for a full existing conditions survey with the plan to re-survey it in 5 years to compare the deterioration of the site over this time frame so they can do preventative measures to ensure that we don’t lose a historic building. The final deliverables were a colour point cloud of the site with a mm point cloud density so all site conditions can be easily identified, i.e. cracks in walls and floorboards can be easily measured.
