Our team had the privilege of carrying out a terrestrial laser scanning survey of Her Majesty’s Theatre in Exhibition Street Melbourne. The survey was needed to document current conditions of the building that was first built in 1886 with extensive modifications in the 1930’s. In 1986, in the year of her 100th anniversary, Her Majesty’s was classified by the National Trust and listed on the Victorian Heritage Register.

Our architect client required an orthophoto with 1mm precision and full 2D CAD elevation drawings displaying all the fine detail of the façade.

We used our Faro laser scanner to capture a complete 3D point cloud of the facades including setting up on the awning roof! A lot of care had to be taken to ensure all of the detail of the façade was accurately measured. The survey was completed successfully in one day.
