About Ray Cox
Ray has been with Landair Surveys for over 13 years seeing it evolve from a small surveying business up to the multi-disciplinary company it is today. He started as a surveyor’s assistant and has progressed to join the management team as a company director. Ray holds a Remote Pilot’s License and oversees the company’s UAV (drone) operations. He also manages the OH&S system.
Ray has extensive experience in UAV mapping & 3D laser scanning as well as construction, cadastral, engineering & topographic surveys. He holds a Bachelor of Spatial Science (First Class Honours) with the University of Southern Queensland and in 2016 won the Surveyor’s Board of Queensland award in recognition of his thesis on point-cloud registration.
Ray has a young family and enjoys pottering in the garden with his kids. His other interests included sport, history, music and religious studies.
