This job was for a landfill in Melbourne. They needed to understand where the underground fires were located. We used a portable landfill and contaminated land gas analyser with a temperature probe to measure methane, carbon dioxide, oxygen, Hydrogen Sulfide and carbon monoxide as well as the temperature. This was combined with our GPS measurements to create a map of concentrations and temperature.
