Melbourne Hospital Redevelopment

Landair Surveys partnered with a leading architectural firm on the redevelopment of a major Melbourne hospital, delivering high-precision Existing Conditions data to support new design proposals.

Over the course of a week, both internal and external areas of the hospital were scanned using advanced 3D laser scanning technology. The data captured formed the foundation for a detailed virtual model of the site.

This scan was supplemented by a road reserve and car park detail survey, along with underground service locating to map critical infrastructure. The combination of spatial data created a comprehensive picture of existing site conditions — crucial for redevelopment planning in complex healthcare environments.

Final deliverables included a 3D point cloud, floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, façade elevations, and external feature and level survey plans, all tailored to the design team’s specific needs.
